HI all!
Please come and help make history in the Conejo Valley as the first baskets set at the TO Disc Golf Course (Rabbit Flats?)!!!
Bring gloves, water, and an energy bar!  (For those curious, adult beverages are OK in the park.)
The work shouldn’t involve much digging, as heavy duty augers will make the holes.
Bring a shovel or 2 if you can anyhow for some backfilling…
I don’t know how many baskets we will be able to get to, but I’m hoping that by the end of the day, all 27 will be in place!!!
Also, if you can bring a gas powered weed whacker, it would be helpful in a couple limited areas.
Shrub clippers, or those for small branches may be useful too.
Hope to see you Sat. Nov. 14, at 10 AM at the TO Community Park (next to the TO High School).
The course, (Rabbit Flats?) is at the far west end of the park.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE ADJACENT NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!
Please park in the Community Center parking lot, (and walk west).
Thx for helping make disc golf in Thousand Oaks a reality!

Each Autumn, disc golfers from around the world gather at their local courses for one purpose: to throw aces! No putting, no approaching… just runnin’ at the chains.

To add to the challenge and excitement, players all throw the same model disc: in past years this has been a brand new, never-seen-before Discraft prototype disc that is introduced each year especially for Ace Race. All players get two discs, plus a hat and mini. Player’s package is valued at $55, and your entry fee is only $25!

Sign ups start at 8:30 am Top of the hill by 18 at Coyote Point Disc Golf Course.

Design your own basket and bring it out to Coyote Point for a FUNdraiser round.  All participants get 1 vote towards the “Best Basket” award.

PDGA basket specifications do not apply however there are only two or three or four rules:

  1. Must be able to catch a disc without damage to the disc.  That means no barbed wire.   I already thought of that.
  2. Any repairs needed during the rounds will result in -1 to the total vote count of that basket.
  3. You do not talk about Fight Club.
  4. You DO NOT talk about Fight Club.

Help be a part of history by sponsoring a hole for the tournament or by donating gift certificates, food cash or prizes.

“Sponsorship commitments are greatly appreciated and range from individuals to corporations. Not only will your involvement and sponsorship help ensure that this event is a huge success, it will also offer you and your company an opportunity to promote your products and services to this dynamic group of competitors and spectators. A tournament of this caliber is time consuming and expensive. We hope that with your kind help, we will be able to raise enough funds from the 27 tee signs sponsors and raffle donations to provide all players and spotters with a wonderful players package and a dinner on Saturday night. With your support, we can put on a professional and enjoyable event for players and spectators alike.”
