Howdy all, Venturadiscgolf.com has just moved to a new, zippy server, and with that complete, I’m going to set about doing some major upgrades of things both broken and not. If you see strangeness around the site for the next few hours (or days), don’t panic, it’s normal. If there’s still broken things after it’s done, let us know and we’ll get right on it. I mean, ya know, within a reasonable interval. If it’s not too nice outside. [UPDATE]: Wordpress has been updated, not all plugins have made it over yet. BBPress (the message board) had been updated, and there’s a couple issues, but it’s working. Gallery is rebuilding its thumbnail cache, looks like some of the pics are coming back… unless you try to click on them, in which case they’re not there. Okay, lots left to do still. Lots left to do, will update as they get fixed. [UPDATE]: There’s a lot of pain involved in this, WordPress and BBPress were both upgraded, which broke several plugins and the code that was integrating them. So until I figure out why it’s broken the way it’s broken, it looks like the message board is going to be not-quite-as-pretty, and you’ll have to log in to it separately, and the VDG theme for it has to be retired until I can rebuild it. Also, some photos were lost during the migration, but I’ve been told that they’re backed up, and have merely to be re-uploaded. So we got that goin’ for us. And it seems like spammers are registering for accounts about 4-5 times a day, so I disabled anyone-can-register. For now, email admin at if someone needs an account, I’ll look for a plugin that adds Captcha or something like that to the registration process and turn it back on. Plugins (including random pics, upcoming events, etc) will come online as I can get them activated and debugged. Thanks for you patience! Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »
